For many years Dafydd Flye has worked in many facets of the equine industry both in New Zealand and abroad.

As a coach he has travelled around the country teaching at various schools, pony clubs and academies.
Dafydd holds his grade one coaching qualification and teaches in a logical, easily understood style with a relaxed manner, appealing to all ages and abilities.

His main interest is the physical and mental well being of our horses and how we can prevent the deterioration of this with our training and strives to produce thinking and compassionate riders with calm, willing and attentive mounts.

This interest has lead Dafydd to spent time training with Dr Andrew and Manuela McLean. He uses their scientific approach to horse training to modify the behaviour of horses he gets sent for remedial training.

Dafydd has managed large barns of gallopers and run yards breaking in and training sport horses.

As a rider he has had a thorough grounding in the pony club system working through to gain his full A and H certificate. He has represented Canterbury in dressage and at the inter pacific competition. Dafydd has competed nationally in both eventing and dressage.
